A decent vroid isn't a debuff, and a good one can be a buff, can be a lot more.
Live2d are really expensive but I know Bunzel started taking commissions for vroids and apparently the rates are reasonable.
They've been doing their reps from what I saw on the stream a few days ago and can do multiple styles depending on what you want, I dunno if they do male models or not though.
