I'm too sleepy to keep watching, but I've been really enjoying Sonny's third Dusk stream!
It's not really a great game for numbers, likely because it's graphically ugly (sorry) and these retro-style FPS games don't really appeal to Luxiem/Noctyx's usual female audience - but I think it's really a great game for him as a streamer. All three of his Dusk streams have been a really fun watch - they're surprisingly chill, but they keep it interesting.
I find FPS streams can get a little same-y after a while, especially for a viewer who isn't particularly into the genre. Dusk offers a lot of freedom and pretty much everything in the game does more damage than a gun, so it really lets him set up wacky kills and pull off unexpected tricks that keep things interesting, like one-shotting bosses with the sawblade or taking out an entire room of mooks with a single rock. I'm glad he finally (re)learned that he can reflect projectiles with melee weapons too, since it's one of his favorite mechanics to abuse and there's just some perverse delight in killing enemies with their own attacks.
It's also nice since this is a genre he's clearly familiar with and that gives him more to talk about than just reacting to whatever's on the screen - the story he shared about carrying around a flash drive to play Quake in class made me nostalgic for when my friends and I used to sneak games of Halo in class, and I liked him going on short tangents about movement shooter playstyles and getting excited to explain game mechanics he just figured out. It's really nice to hear him having quite a lot to talk about without having to rely heavily on the cutesy gimmick.
