I wish variety content was more the norm. Things other than vidya is nice. That's one of many reasons Chammers is my oshi as she doesn't do much gaming in comparison to 99% of chuubas. Sadly, outside of concerts and karaoke, it's only vidya that brings in views. I mean I'm grateful that SOME things exist that can bring in views other than gaming, but when everybody only games and does the occasional karaoke, it gets stale. Well, I can't complain too much as my oshi is different, and there are a few others in Hololive like Shiori. Still. I wish there were more.

Room temperature take: Vtubing was better when it was edited videos and skits. Streaming is nowhere near as entertaining. If you prefer JPs, you now need to know Japanese or just be okay with not understanding/needing clips. Back then, these skits and edited videos were translated, at least for the bigger ones. If you can't handle this, you are stuck with ENs unless you want to learn Japanese. But even if you are okay with ENs, streams have dead air and are boring at many points.On top of the above, streams having a set time make me anxious. I don't like entertainment to not be ready for me to watch whenever I feel like. I want content to fit my schedule, not other people's. I want to be able to rewind, fast forward, or just consume it however I want. This is a dealbreaker. Streams are a BAD experience. Streaming is NOT a good entertainment method. It is lazy and is only good for making more money.

Hot take: It is vtuber fans who are at fault for this. WE should have rejected this reality. WE should have not allowed this to be standard. WE should have not watched them.

What's the logic behind guests being more okay waiting a long time for their order to be taken AND for their order to be done, but if you take their order quickly, they will not wait any extra time for their food? Are they stupid?

Not necessarily. But you need Hololive or some other relevant corpo. Hololive is the only way to get "big" easily. Vshojo can make you big, but that seems to be harder. NijiEN is even tougher to get big, and I'm not even convinced you can as a girl anymore. And you need experience being successful for any of these.
If you don't need to be big, but still want relevancy, mid-sized corpos like Phase may. But that is also diminishing as an opportunity for numbers.
Small corpos, micro corpos, and indies basically have the same chance as you becoming a real life celebrity. Basically none. Use this as experience to get into a large corpo.

There was a super tiny window for this, and that was early NijiEN. That has passed and it is not possible otherwise except for one way. Do you want to become a dramatuber? That's the only way now. And even then, good luck.

You need Hololive or Nijisanji. It's not possible anymore otherwise to become big. JP indies don't have the same ability to become known across the internet. And no company other than the two above has been able to keep JPs relevant. BUT JP fans are more likely to give larger portions of their money to their oshi, so do with that what you will.

I'll play devil's advocate here and say that the ideology these people push has had it as a pillar of belief that people should be punished in their public lives for their personal opinions.

If that's the case and Nina still adheres to this sort of stuff, then it's perfectly rational to say you don't want to give Nina the vtuber views and/or money when you know her actress probably hates you.
