The internet really fuck ups with perception of life if you don't go out often. Look at /b/ or /pol/, you would think the world was full of trannies and black people but i haven't even met one transexual in my over 20+ years of life. And like, 2 blacks.

I think the burden of proof would fall on the "shes gay" camp and not the "shes straight" because the default is being straight.
