Avatar battles are thankfully only made for fun. There are no incentives to do them other than to show off what kind of overpowered and grotesque monster you made, or if you made a character to cosplay another character that isn't in the game.

Still kinda irks me that Capcom loves doing unnecessary monetization like this though. Deluxe and Ultimate Edition buyers even get an abundance of Drive tickets on Day 1 which they can use to buy the food upgrades.
