didn't she say it's actually possible to give her bday presents? it just has to be a month or so in advance because you need to send it to japan, there COVER staff validates it and then they send it back to her in europe.

but it's possible that books are not allowed because -technically- you could somehow hide a death threat or blackmail in there or whatever. there is no way staff is gonna read through an entire LOTR series to check for that.
