I look forward to confirming just how much of the superchat money comes from men who look for guiltless fantasies, and will just move on to other vtubers and media that offer such things. While the snobs and cucks look down on those men for having fantasies.

It is because this is the only place where you can get honest opinions hidden behind tons of racial slurs and blatant trolling. Sure a lot of those honest opinions are also inaccurate and unhelpful, but once in a while you see something good or informative here that you won't see anywhere else. On reddit or youtube, all they see are simps and worshippers who they slowly learn to ignore out of reflex. Aqua alluded to this fact when she said 1 negative comment sticks out to her more than a thousand positive ones. If you were a performer who wanted critical feedback, you couldn't rely on simps.

It's thanks to reading this place that Moona learned about Ridder's crusade. Which was very funny. Also, it's not just big names like Kiara or Pekora that browse anonymous boards, most indie vtubers acknowledge they are here also. Though they rather not do it explicitly because normie fans would get filtered at the door by seeing the trolls, crazies, and shitposters.

>you think that won't play part with her finding someone willing to get harassed?
So now you have a new argument. "It's the chinks." Another goal to backtrack over. I'm sure it makes emotional sense to you, but that's all it is, emotions. In reality, her fans did not shy away from her, and people still willingly drew god-tier fan art for her. And many learned of Coco due to the incident as well, with new fans from Taiwan alone. And Tatsunokos are already famously defiant in the face of Chinese antis. Suggesting they may fear the antis is, quite honestly, beyond reason.

And I repeat, unless you can give us a survey where none of her fan artist wants to work with Coco due to busyness, money, or the chinks, it is no more than a willfull belief that frankly goes against appearances and reason, like Elon being unable to find engineers. My question is: what is it that drives you to believe this? Is there some kind of deep-seated trauma that makes you want to believe this? I'm thinking this is your therapy session instead of a discussion.

>And i never said its impossible
I think we can close the discussion here. If it's not impossible then we are arguing over a difference in percentages. There isn't anything quantitative or qualitative we can do about your vague impressions, short of a survey among Tatsunoko fan artists.

> This is obviously a fucked up mindset, but she can't change the world
So it's not just others, but you think of yourself as a bug who can change nothing. That is already false. There is a spectrum of influence and scale. Anyone changing themselves and influencing their friends is already adding to the flow of history, and big societal change like women's suffrage, all started from weak individuals, none of whom can audaciously claim to be able to change the world alone. It is simply the accumulation of influence that helps turn the wheels of history.

And Coco is more than alone. Her case was heard loud and clear, across an audience that spanned the globe, that helped awaken many otherwise apolitical fans to the inherent indefensible nature of the Chinese government. Coco is also part of a larger global trend where China's antics managed to antagonize every country surrounding it and beyond (https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2020/10/06/unfavorable-views-of-china-reach-historic-highs-in-many-countries/).). The world is already changing by the actions of countless people, and the growing anti-China sentiments have already led to political changes in different countries. So Coco is indeed speaking the zeitgeist by flipping the bird against bugs who won't stop harassing her anyway (and thus she had nothing to lose on that front), while galvanizing the supporters who simply like her more and shower her with more money and vocal support. Besides the purely material advantages, there is also the mental advantage, as she admitted in member stream that she is a willful individual.

Let me tell you about the birth of social change. When there is great injustice and people want to have their voices heard, you need the vocal extremists to make people aware that it is a serious matter, and after that you need the moderate diplomats who can explain the people's grievances, even as they distance themselves from the extremists. You think black people would have gotten their civil rights with just MLK? Yeah, so while I can't publicly condone extreme Gura fans, I do recognize they are the force that makes Cover take this seriously and respond as quickly as they did, more than any eloquent twitter posts.
