Ah, I wasn't aware. It traditionally hasn't mattered since our chuubanite keeps the climate (within at least within the forests) temperate at worst, and can even get to rainforest/tropical levels in places.
But thanks for the reminder though because I've been working on the how/why/when saplings would leave /uuu/ and the climate outside of the forests will really matter then. Poor little guys might be in a bit of a shock at what their latitudes are actually supposed to feel like if its their first time out, lol.

I'm torn, because I like the idea of bumbling playful naive cute saplings wandering around being tended to by Fauna.
But it doesn't lend very well to worldbuilding I imagine, those saplings kinda lack agency.
I like the idea of having all 4 seasons, it lends well to the plant motif. A perennial summer isn't as interesting.
