I was worried about the sub timing and how long they should hang since I tried making them appear faster but it ended up looking too quick. Maybe I'll make the transparency fade a bit slower to have it hang around a bit more after they've said something.

The only reason I didn't do this is that I felt like it's walking the line on adding too many effects and images and stuff. Mint is really entertaining by herself and I really want people to watch her and not just flashy clips of her.

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve! I don't really use any effects I just make use of the little change over time thing you can use in the Inspector. And you can add text outline stuff in the Shading tab for text plus.
