I can relate to you. I spent years pining after a RL girl and was productive motivating myself to chase after her, and even after she turned me down I spent years in a half depressed, half motivated state before eventually descending into full depression and just grinding life out doing the bare minimum.
I recently fell head over heels for a recently debuted chuuba. My depression has been almost entirely gone for a few weeks now. I'm hoping to just use her as motivation to get stronger until I react a point where I can hold myself up, but I fear that I am just fundamentally broken at this point and that I'll never really be happy or find anyone because I missed out on high school/college love which is where most people that seem worthwhile were taken.
