Trust me I got bogged IRL on an investment and I had able to dollar cost my way down from $27/share to $23/share doesn't seem like much but it was $100 difference in value and I ended up with more shares despite not spending any more money. There were people who got bogged worse then me on it... twice now. Anyway when you own 10's to 100's of shares those dollars matter A LOT.

Once you have these you can pretty much fuck around in the market. Then it is all about your own strategy. If you like doing nothing while receiving passive growth without any sweat just invest into a total market ETF like $SPY, if you like watching trends and stuff but not doing a ton of research then look into special ETFs, if you are a hyper autist you can hunt down market inefficiencies and buy individual stocks, if you love spread sheets and smugly watching paint dry go all in on blue chip divies, if you are willing to get rich or go all in on $ROPE trying then try options.

Take emotions out of it, take politics out of it. None of that shit matters not really.
