Besides being a great game in general, think of Diablo as a gacha game. Instead of opening loot boxes, you kill bosses over and over for a chance to get good loot. RNG will fuck you over a million times, but on that one time a boss (or even a random mob) drops a godly item, the dopamine rush makes you cum rainbows.
Fun fact, there's been people who have been playing the game for 20 years and still haven't found the rarest game in the game. It's even more funny that the item in question is fucking garbage.
