There has never been a "snipe" button on eBay. Yahoo! JP does not have a "snipe" button either. The fucking proxy bidding service you're using was offering you sniping. eBay shows you a "current" bid - it is not the maximum the high bidder is willing to pay. That would defeat the purpose. Idiot.
