Man you guys really don't understand Calli do you? Here's how it works. Calli is a socially awkward wigger weeb with no self confidence and imposter syndrome. She's the kind of person who will awkwardly tell a joke and then laugh at her own joke to make sure that people know it's a joke. She might even throw in a meek, "Did you get it?" afterwards and then immediately silently berate herself. She hates awkward silences and will try to fill them. She seeks approval and confirmation but she's also dense as fuck so even if people are giving her approval and confirmation and praise, she wouldn't be able to tell and the few times she is able to tell, she doesn't believe them because of her low self esteem. And this is all how she is in her normal life.
As a Vtuber? An entertainer, a presenter with literally thousands of eyes on her? Ohh boy. She will also feel extra pressure to perform in a collab because it's not just her, it's her colleagues and she's worried about messing up in front of them and also for them and their fans, in addition to her own. So she will try too hard and then cringe and then there will be a lull while she silently tells herself that she is an idiot, and a moron, and stupid, and there will always be a lull because Gura is a non entity in collabs right now and Ame can't always carry everything. Eventually Calli will stop beating herself up long enough to realize "OH GOD NOTHING IS HAPPENING ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE WATCHING AND EXPECTING US TO ENTERTAIN THEM THEY GAVE US SO MUCH MONEY, I DON'T DESERVE THIS" and so she'll launch right into the fray again the only way she knows how, by talking energetically and also taking care to enunciate things and describe them for the ESL audience since she used to be an English Teacher. Occasionally she will become genuinely amused or tilted at something in game and that will slip through, but because she's a sperg, her genuine emotions will still be as awkward as her forced ones.
Then when the collab/stream ends, she will collapse on her bed silently weeping and thinking about all the things she could have done better. She'll think about her fellow rapper from whom she heard about the Hololive auditions and feel guilty for taking their shot, they wanted it so much more than she did, she just applied on a whim, and even though they told her it was okay, it's not REALLY okay, they are just saying that to be nice because they are a good person unlike me because I'm such a piece of shit for stealing my friend's dream and I deserve to die.
Then she drinks and cries herself to sleep.
