I agree with you if it's actually true that Twitch isn't profitable but Amazon and Google are both kinda infamous for writing off their websites as "losing money" to reduce taxes. Someone did a write-up about it on Twitter and they allegedly do it by writing off losses that technically just go back to their own parent company, like Twitch's video hosting being paid to AWS and Youtube to Alphabet etc.
I do wonder how long they'll be able to allow non-partnered streamers to use as much bandwidth as they want though.
