Ayame had a three years old career before the first member of council even debuted, a career so successful her odd one or two monthly streams gets a higher audience, a higher revenue and a higher share of merchandise sold than any of the Council members.
She has nothing to prove and if she “soft retires” and continue doing exactly what she does now, the odd stream once or twice a month everybody will be absolutely grateful she even graces our lowly maggots with her presence instead of simply graduating and going to rest.

She could do that after a full successful trailblazer career coming from a period vtubers celebrated 100k subs as the apex of the streamer career and nobody would even have a single word of condemnation for her, even anons in this site and board would pay their respects.

They didn’t need to do much. Fire up a stream, play fucking slither.io or Fall Guys for all the audience cares (a goto “default” stream for the JP audience), run the snake around for 50 min, read superchat for 20 and call it a day after a hour and a bit, bridging the gap between Ina and Kiara’s early streams and Gura and Ame late ones.

The fact they couldn’t do even that is a demerit for them, something they can’t hide behind “Ayame streams even less”.
Of course management shares a part of the blame here but with the massive talent Sana and Kronii have in their respective trades, to fail to put it to good use is almost criminal
