I know nobody asked. But that game and the same kind of game made by the same people, the Quarry does one thing right for a VN autist like me: BS choices that affect something much farther down the line that makes no logical sense. Let me give 2 examples from The Quarry:

1. The plot begins with one guy who sabotages the camp car so they can stay one last day. Your choice on how you sabotage the car determines whether you collect the 10 bits of evidence to prove that the characters didn't kill anybody. You can either remove the fuel line or an engine part. YOU NEED to pick the engine part. He will keep it in his pocket. And much, much later, it will fall out of his pocket while swimming. He will dive into the water to find it and find a dead body, one of the clues. None of this will happen if you remove the fuel line

2. To save one character, you actually NEED to fail some QTEs and get her infected with the wolf curse. Later on, she will be attacked. If she is not a werewolf, she will die. But if she is a werewolf, she will live after the curse is lifted.

I love shit like this, even if it unfair. It's just like my oldschool VNs...
