If you look more closely the girls' numbers didn't drop that much in the first few months after Luxiem debuted. Their numbers went down from their December peak but they were still hitting their averages and paypigs were happy.
It didn't get bad until a lot of fans noticed the constant Luxiem shilling from management with consecutive merch releases from March to May.

Then the Lazulight anniversary event happened and Obsydia's paypigs decided they'd rather their money go towards 2views than funding Luxiem's next round of merch. If management didn't do anything at all things wouldn't really be that bad, I don't think the boys' presence alone really upset anyone. The easy way to fix this would obviously be management doing something nice for the girls to make it clear that they value them and their fans, but fat chance they do something like that.
