I haven't used latent upscalers in the past 6 months and already have i2i set to use 4x as upscaler.
It's not meant for latent upscalers as they already have a lot of noise added in which is why they keep exploding, they don't need more of it.
I just added img2img_extra_noise to Settings->User Interface-> Options in main UI txt2img and the setting is now sitting at the very bottom of the text2img page.
