This is why Ame needs a boyfriend to cheer her up, for the sake of quality streams! And that boyfriend will be me.

So I went back and checked. Ame beat 3 out of the 9 levels she played today without loading any save states.
I think she has enough skill to beat the game normally, but doesn't want to go through the hassle. It's interesting how it's the exact opposite of how Gura treated Super Metroid, in where her skill was even worse, but still wanted to prove that she could do it.
