I'm aware what I did was really shit and I hope I never return to whatever retarded schizo mental state I was in when I did it. I'm not going to write a big, long, apology post because I think if I did it would in all honesty only make things worse, but I am aware what I did was really shitty and that its highly hurtful for a lot of people I do generally consider friends, in addition to driving away a lot of new people.

It could be really neat to have one in a meeting room, only to suddenly spot that a group of people in the rooms time towards death is rapidly declining, and have that build up to some super cool pay off. Maybe there's a suicide bomber, maybe some ones about to break in. Who knows? I'm doing a history degree in Uni and this is something that comes up a lot.

For example Irrigation based societies tend to be really really poor in warfare since irrigation farming makes the farmer weak and prone to parasite infection, as well as being very vulnerable to control via cutting of water source, making the peasantry tend to be very weak and easy to oppress, so other than the (very small) noble class there aren't many people who can give resistance. This is why Egypt has such a humiliating military history
