Let me preface this by saying I am an ex-deadbeat yet don't totally hate her, so I think I wholeheartedly understand why she is so hated and I think it's proper justification for why I'm writing this ungodly essay. It can best be summarized under three categories.
>controversies
>personality
>ungratefulness
Obviously, Mori has been involved in countless controversies at a much higher frequency than other chuubas. The only other chuuba that ever came close to spawning as many anti threads was Kiara in the earlier days of this board (keep this in mind since I think this is a good point to prove that not all the hate on this board is mindless shitposting and baiting, as Kiara anti threads are uncommon nowadays and she is far more well liked here now). Her membership shenanigans, lean comments, association with widely disliked parties, and recent events involving Gura all come to mind. The amount she seems to drink does not help either.

Her personality urks a lot of people the wrong way. Some people don't enjoy "cringe kino," they just see the cringe part of it. Another thing is her sense of humor. At it's worst, it often boils down to her simply self deprecating or just being loud with repetitive and outdated jokes. On top of that she is often both criticized for a lack of enthusiasm and over acting during streams. Back when she was newer to Holo, her enthusiasm was the main issue. She often seemed low energy, anxious, or as many claimed "uncaring" during streams and especially collabs. This lead to her having deadpan and incredibly cringeworthy reactions during interactions. Some notable examples of this is Clubhouse 51 with Kiara, the HoloEN ender dragon slaying stream, or the oh so dreadful meme review with Coco. Recently, people are annoyed with how obnoxious she comes off as, again especially during collabs. Her yelling over people only to tell jokes about Adam Sandler, Shrek, and JoJo is not enjoyable to listen to. People's general distaste for this type of humor was further enforced by her interaction during an Elden Ring stream where she lashed out at a viewer who voiced their distaste for her Shrek jokes, and when Gura had remarked negatively during a Minecraft stream about the same jokes. All this is topped off with her attitude towards haters, where she claims not to care about them in the slightest while seemingly being deeply affected by their comments to the point of replying to them publicly on Twitter and creating several "fuck da haterz" songs.

The last point is how ungrateful she seems to many. The phrase "MORI DOESNT CARE ABOUT HOLOLIVE" has been tossed around so much on this board it has practically lost all meaning, but it's still important to bring up. The argument behind this phrase is that she is only using Hololive for the money and to further her own career by using her corporate provided anime girl persona and fanbase to establish connections and then eventually she'll leave Hololive and pursue her own career with "her real friends." Notably, on her birthday 3D live she hearted a comment saying "hololive is not the destination, it's the first step." This paired with the fact she claimed she was living in a cockroach infested apartment and was at risk of being forced to move back to the states due to lack of sufficient income before she joined Hololive makes the idea that she is ungrateful more damning. Another point that is used is her song lyrics. Mori always speaks out her thoughts through song, at its best we can get EPs like Your Mori which feel soulful, genuine, and emotional. At it's worst we get a bunch of mediocre to downright shitty rap songs which is just her complaining about petty shit as a millionaire who pretends to be an anime girl for a living. Now, this is difficult to discuss further without entering borderline RM discussion, so I wont.

Keep in mind that there are of course many who are just upset that she is successful and popular and are indeed hopping on the bandwagon to hate on her, but there is also genuine reasons to why she is so hated. Overall stubbornness and refusal to permanently improve is the nail in the coffin on why many, like myself, have stopped supporting her and why you still see so many threads shitting on her to this day.
