That's not how JP corpos work and you know it. Mikeneko never came out after the Mafumafu leak and said "Please don't harass Mikocchi it's not her fault that my last collab with her got me fired" because that would still get her sued for breaching NDA. As far as the companies are concerned, you never worked for them and aren't allowed to reference anything that happened between you and their talents. Mel may be stupid but she also cares deeply about not causing trouble for others. She'd rather avoid the situation entirely than speak up on Kotoka's behalf in a way that might draw attention or get either party in hot water.

Because she was(and still is) being harassed by pieces of shit who think her silence is proof of guilt while simultaneously her speaking up is also proof of guilt. There's no possible way to win so she took a hiatus to deal with shit. She was also being doxxed in real life due to JP schizos. Other livers have referenced her and said she is active behind the scenes to help Denauth with their debuts and is trying to recover her mental state after being torn down for months. None of this shit is conclusive and you're just inferring her guilt because it would be convenient for the narrative you want to believe.

This is exactly why Japan's entertainment industry is so fucked with idols killing themselves and receiving death threats. Companies choose to protect themselves with sending legal threats and harassing people instead of doing anything to protect their talents, and the talents are forced to take the brunt of the harassment as both the primary victims and public-facing representatives for these companies. These people are terrified of speaking out to clear their name because they might get sued by either their own company or a competitor, and they're also terrified of staying silent because the rumors just circulate and get worse and worse from their "silence." It's a disgusting cycle.
