>A day later I ask her out on a date (I know i'm stupid as fuck for this)
>She says yes but immediately backtracks and says she's not looking for a relationship, but we can still go on vrchat "Dates"
>Few dates later, she makes it clear she wants to be friends only
>We have a bit of a long talk and I decide to go my separate ways
>Eventually she messages me back for a favor and we get back to being casual friends
>Don't really talk all that much
>Fast forward about a year later
>She's hanging out with this new guy friend a lot for about 4 months
>Meet her again last week
>"Oh anon, I have boyfriend now!"
>It's that same guy

I dunno how to feel about this, moral of the story is you don't have to ask a girl out the day after, you can just be friends with her for a bit and see things out from there.
