Unicorns, gachikoi posts used to get a shitton of downvotes as well.
Same with people complaining about the increased shilling of Holostars, or the fact that they were getting preferential treatment from management.
But none of them made posts upon posts whining that their imaginary internet points got reduced.

All "unicorns" (which are mostly just CGDCT fans) did was to press that one down arrow button on every homo post they encountered.
People acknowledged the problem initially, but chalked it up as something you can't do anything about.
Beggars kept whining. And whining. And whining so much that their whining was becoming more annoying that these supposed "unicorns".
And then they started shitting on the girls. And their fans. They completely lost all their "high ground" at that point.
Suisei's lecture also had the important effect of separating those that watched it vs those who were not even clipfags.
Those that continued whining about "muh unicorns" can now be shown that clip indicating the fact that it's mostly outsiders stirring things up.
Another moral high ground lost.
Now, Fuwamoco and ruffians have invaded reddit, and all the beggars can do is to accept their lot in life and discuss the homos over at the stars reddit, just like intended.
