The youthfulness of her indiscretions are wherein the value is extract, the feigned luxury of some of the complimentary talents missing out most in this regard, when Lia “plays” with the momentum of her career and the refinement of her talents we’re shown a permissiveness that is simply unavailable to the more “seasoned” talents Phase has to offer. This “I’m baby” assertation of Lia’s is roughly mirrored in the kayfabe of Wemi but give a real, undeniable character with Lia. It’s the small moments of doubt, the undulation of commitment that provides that vital feeling and ephemeral nature to Lia’s presence. I hope she continues to push and find ways to keep this kind of nuanced engagement alive through her performances crafting a less viable but all the more engaging emotional aspect to the care of her career.
