I might be an elitist purist, but I think any form of void entertainment made to make people forget about the pointless existences we all lead is wrong and predatory toward your fellow people.

The fact that another human can live off others like that and be celebrated while others are hidden away and die silent deaths and are completly forgotten is disgusting and a meta mockery of human, if not all, life as a singular phenomenon we all experience.

You can watch them, I won't condemn you and I think that you probably have very good reasons to watch them, but you could be learning other things or be making stuff yourself and feel more accomplished.

The only good reason I can think for watching vtubers is finding inspiration and a sense of community, but those are already weird deviations on a sad level of abstraction and conceptualization.

If you need them to turn off your brain like a sort of anesthetic then I'm sorry you were led to those circumstances.
