Honestly I'm a newer fan so I cant really relate too much to your feelings but I understand them from lurking before I started watching and doing reps here and there. I used to only watch Holo and most of the stuff that I loved the girls there for was more what the community made for them than what they were doing themselves and I felt like I was only really having fun in this hobby because I was a part of it, not really from watching myself. I dont really use twitter as much now vs back then so most of the community stuff vtuber wise has been sorta lost on me beisdes clips and a few art things here or there so now its a way smaller part for me since some of the small corpo girls and indies I'm really into barely get art or even clips if they dont commission it themselves. But I can understand that the huge hit to the community from everything that happend earlier this year and the constant use of niji as a scape goat for everything wrong with vtubing while treating everything else that happens drama wise with the even the smallest bit of tact or understanding is doing a lot more to offset the good thats come from whats going on If your talking about who I think you are then the reason for them to even exist where they are now is from an awful situation her ceo went through in their old comapny that was the main reason they have that model of revenue in the first place that she gets to benefit from which I feel like is insanely tone deaf is a big factor the overall mood and even if theres more content the vibe is very important too. You also gotta remember we're not even a year out yet and its gonna take time and effort to rebuilt their reputation, but again I'm not really worried about that as much since I barely use twitter these days and I probably see stuff effected by that the least out of any vtuber fan. I never really looked at numbers too much since I follow so many different people now that are huge indies or small corpos plus I'm used to the underground music scene in my area where most of my favorite bands and artists are listened to maybe the same 200 or 20 people for years, but the people I watch in Niji seem happy showing off what their doing and teasing whats coming next to whoevers there and thats enough for me honestly because I'm there.
Maybe my standards for Niji are different because I watched a bunch of corpos and indies I sorta liked fall apart or turn into a mess as soon as I took interest in them last year. Maybe the fact that I dont have a specific duo I really miss out of the people who left like you do is another reason I cant feel too bad about everything. Maybe because I've never really been part of the community before how things changed over the years hasnt really left me wishing for the old days again. I dont wanna pick apart your complaints and say you cant think that way because honestly I can undertsand a lot of them. I dont know I just like NijiEN now more than ever and that makes me really happy. I feel like with everything happening that things are more on track to get better than they are to get worse and I hope the staff and the community improve can meet your expectations one day anon.
