Nerd flirting for me isn’t simply doing references but using knowledge of things especially in nature to present something more interesting than say an expected bouquet of flowers. I’d grow a crop that’s thought to be ugly, but is top tier in endurance and utility while presenting s bouquet of them flowering, which is actually beautiful while exclaiming that I want our love to be like that: enduring, deceptively beautiful, healthy, full of wonder and which can grow in all sorts of ways, rather than wilting in 2 weeks or less and on life support the moment the flowers were snipped for the bouquet.
