99.9999% of people who are into vtubers are into manga and anime, from those many are seasonal shitters, and they would be what is considered geeks, a smaller but dedicated part are otakus for jp animation, and other chunk are people who like anime are willing to watch older stuff, from all of these groups only very few are happy with the state of the western entertainment industry, the biggest part have a distaste for it, and some even hate it with a passion.
That anyone thought that this was going to do well is beyond me.
