I think the most rational assumption (still an assumption tho) is that this is what everyone went to record on Japan last October, which means Pomu was already on the way out and there isn't anything from her to cut.

It does make me wonder if she knew and wanted to host the space today since all of us were going to be grumpy or depressed about it, but if her voice isn't up for it there is nothing that can be done about it.
