I don't think it's really trying to say that either. The one time it does Aqua basically just says Ruby is acting crazy.
I think the only real message it has is that "the idol world has it's beauty and it's warts but it's all wonderful in the end"
It points out that there are negative aspects but it's never exactly calling for change. One of the bigger conflicts of the manga is that one of the female leads can't get together with the MC because she is an idol, despite all the other shit said early on.
