I think it's the complete opposite. Lots of interesting people are filtered by traditional formats because they're ugly and people want to look at attractive faces. On the other end, attractive people often don't feel the need to develop an interesting personality because everyone in their lives fawn over them already. Vtubing is (in theory anyway) the best of both worlds.
