I can understand "flop", but is one member's reputation really enough to warp the perspective of an entire gen? Is there any other gens where this the case? (doesn't have to be from Nijisanji)

Is this the worst generation in corpo vtubing history? They literally just picked six Youtubers, most of whom have little or no regard for Nijisanji or even vtubing at all. Say what you will about Luxiem or Noctyx, but at least most of the guys picked for those generations knew what they were doing and seem genuinely invested in the vtubing culture. I can't imagine who ILUNA appeals to outside of the lowest common denominatior of tiktok zoomers whose main interaction with otaku culture is playing Genshin Impact. It's embarrassing that these people get to be in the same branch as genuine talents like Pomu or Elira.

Call me a schizo, but does anyone else feel like NIJIEN management deliberately added a large number of people to the branch to dissolve the weirdly parasocial „EN family“ thing the entire branch got going on with each other? After all the unnecessary drama caused by them, I wouldn‘t be surprised if management just wants them to be less personally involved with one another.

There‘s also no mandatory Elira nepo hire this time around from what I‘ve seen
