I'm not an oldfag obviously, but personally speaking I keep my opinions to myself unless something is either setting-breaking, or the person posting it directly asks for feedback/opinions. This isn't out of malice or any desire to stay in a "clique," but rather because not everyone wants feedback on every little thing. Sometimes people are just writing to have fun, and jumping in with concrit will just annoy them, either because it's unnecessarily nitpicky when they aren't trying to take a particular piece very seriously to begin with, or because it goes against their plans. I can't speak for everyone obviously but on my end at least it's mostly just courtesy.
