Anon, you are using "being idol" as a permanent indelible quality to a person when it is actually a transient state.

Nobody calls Okayu "an idol" as well when she's gaming (not unironically, at least), she's as much "an idol" as Kuzuha is one (both aren't).

But both take the stage and perform idol activities from time to time and, during that period they're clearly idols (or playing one on TV, at least).
Nijisanji ramped up idol activities recently, as you can see by this pic.

Or you'll say this is not Chronoir in full blown idol outfits?
