I learned new Koikatsu tech that I will now share with everyone else if you're like me and like to blur a background to emphasize the foreground but also hate fiddling with the camera's aperture then you can add an image plate into the scene and change the rendering style on it into a gaussian blur then fiddle with the sliders until you get something you want to create a square that blurs anything behind it. Like in this pic where Froot from below the neck is clear but her head and beyond is blurry as fuck.
