Gestalt and Replicant somehow exist canonically in the same timeline separated by years (but I don't think Yoko Taro really thought this out, for reasons). LISTEN guys, there are multiple sides to the Nier discussion (there aren't really) but what's TRULY important is that as a 22 year old playing Gestalt I related to and was moved by Papa Nier's plight.
