Here's a general timeline of /vt/'s hatred of NijiEN

>The year is 2021, and Nijisanji just announced their first wave of EN vtubers, Lazulight.
>This comes simultaneously as Hololive is embroiled in drama from Chinese roaches harassing Coco, and the company failing to support her against this harassment, in fact bullying her out of the company instead.
>Many vtuber fans are disillusioned with Hololive's way of doing things, and look to Nijisanji EN as a fresh change in the industry; competition is always good as they say.
>Lazulight's debuts are universally praised on /vt/, seen as a return to "cgdct" and drama-free vtuber content. All 3 of them are really funny and likeable. It was refreshing for vtuber fans.
>/vt/ suddenly gets an influx of Lazulight falseflag threads, people comparing their 6-8 streams a week to Myth members barely streaming 3 times a week, using them to shit on Gura or Ame for being lazy, making fun of Mori for being a fake weeb while Elira and Pomu are the real deal, etc.
>Hololive fans start to see this as an attack on their "superiority" and become increasingly resentful towards Nijisanji EN every time someone makes a thread promoting Pomu's creative content or Elira's karaokes.
>Cut to June 2021, and Obsydia is announced as NijiEN's 2nd wave. Everyone is excited for more good cute girls to fill the hole from Myth's lack of streams.
>Obsydia's debuts are received just as well as Lazulight's, with Selen being a standout as a genuine tomboy "gamer" who is actually good at fps.
>Her Apex streams start doing numbers comparable to Hololive EN, which is when the SEA quarantine zone known as /#/ start paying attention to NijiEN.
>Suddenly the catalog is being spammed with even more falseflag threads overtly shitting on Hololive, and all of them exclusively use Selen pictures and reference her numbers, using charts and images taken directly from /#/. Hm, really makes you think.
>Those same faggots are also spamming /NijiEN/ and /hlgg/, ruining Selen's fanbase reputation in her company's own general. This is around the time the various NijiEN splits like /haha/ and /rose/ started popping up due to infighting in /NijiEN/. The presence of these splits somehow further annoyed Hololive fans due to what they see as Nijifags infesting a board that should be exclusively used for Hololive threads.
>October 2021, Ethyria debuts and receive a much less positive reception compared to Lazulight and Obsydia. Mostly due to Nina being seen as a clear outsider from the vtuber scene, and Enna/Millie being obvious nepotism hires from Elira's friend group.
>NijiEN in general is still pushing out consistently good content though, even with Ethyria fans being a minority within the fanbase.
>Late December 2021, Luxiem is announced, the first male wave, and all hell breaks loose.
>Their numbers on debut are nothing impressive but /vt/ as a whole are still terrified by the prospect of male vtubers in an EN branch, as it's one step closer to Holostars EN existing and interacting with their waifus.
>Suddenly and unexpectedly, Luxiem explodes in popularity due to Chinese clipfags. This has the simultaneous effect of pissing off anti-China /pol/tards, unicorns who hate males, and /#/ trannies all at the same time.
>Even worse, this completely corrupts NijiEN's culture from CGDCT to pandering to Chinese women who love hetshipping so they can self-insert. A unicorn's worst nightmare.
>Even worse still, Hololive seeing this immediately announces HOLOSTARS EN in an effort to copy Nijisanji, confirming all the paranoia and fears of Hololive fans.
>This is when the Discord leak happens, from NijiEN's discord server where they discuss Hololive copying Luxiem with Holostars EN. Hololive fans are livid, both at Cover for adding males, and for Nijisanji livers for mocking Cover.
>All the goodwill from the first 2 waves has entirely evaporated as even the perfect girls from Lazusydia consistently engage in collabs with The Great Satan that is Luxiem in an effort to milk their Chinese fans.
>Hololive fans are terrified that this culture coomerbaiting and hetshipping will ruin their CGDCT paradise the same way it ruined NijiEN, so they go on the offensive trying to destroy Nijisanji's reputation through any means necessary.
>This has resulted in a consistent stream of catalog spam for the last 2 years because the most schizophrenic Hololive fans still blame Nijisanji for the existence of Holostars EN.
