I've been pretty curious the last few days about the shit Coqui talked about involving her being ghosted for an alt outfit and revisions/fixes on her current model (the one that debuted in November), and what really piqued my interest was how Coqui was intentionally removing this person's name from credits and such. It led me to do some digging and I found out some very interesting shit: Her model issues are indirectly involved with the current implosion of Project Kawaii.

Story goes like this: Coqui commissions a vtuber called Gezu to do the rigging for this model early 2022. Initial timeframe she wanted was for her birthday last year, but for some reason or another got delayed. After that a few months pass and Gezu announces their graduation on twitch at the end of July/Early August. After said graduation, Gezu went on to become Sava Safari in Project Kawaii at the end of August. Coqui then would not receive her model from Gezu/Sava until near November, which at that point was a full 7 months after the original date she wanted it, and the work she did receive had errors that required revisions as well as she had not rigged her red jacket variant of the model, which was one of the ones she wanted the most.

Coqui contacts Gezu/Sava multiple times since November but after initially receiving a boilerplate "I'm sorry I have a lot going on", she flat out stops replying and straight up ghosts coqui, who at that point is trying to get the base files so she can go to another rigger, and January is the first time Coqui says anything about these issues in public, and continues to insist that nobody bother the rigger, that it will be resolved. Fast forward to April 7th, Project Kawaii announces that the entire Gen 3 will be graduating and leaving the company due to behind the scenes issues, Sava being one of the talents leaving. She goes back to twitter and rebrands under the name Mozumi Pichi but uses the same twitter as the Gezu account, including all her retweets about Coqui's debut model which Coqui herself had scrubbed over the drama. Flash forward to after weebcon in VR chat, Coqui says the rigger finally got back in contact with her, gave her the files, and gave her a full refund. At this point it has been nearly 4 months of no communication prior to that.

Conclusion: If Gezu/Sava/ Pichi hadn't graduated from Project Kawaii, they likely would have ghosted Coqui entirely. She likely only gave the refund because she realized that if she didn't and Coqui dropped this info publicly, her career would be bombed. Coqui, because she generally isn't a drama person, elected to handle everything pretty much privately and didn't do the nasty thing and drop this while Sava was still with Kawaii.
