Anyone that thinks this would "cause a downfall" for anyone are deluded. Management could ban any game it wanted for whatever arbitrary reason pleased them and the girls would still have content should they please.
Yeah it sucks the DBD fangirl Gura won't be able to stream this game she probably looked forward to, but do you seriously think having OT as an option would've made her streamed hours suddenly rebound to her post-debut peak? If she wants to play it, she'll just use do so in her free time.

Honestly I believe this. Bae's manager probably took for granted that it was just a silly puzzle game with suspiciously shaped characters that they already had perms for (maybe Devolver greenlit all of their games?) but it was shockingly graphic. We already know that they want Hololive to be kid-friendly from the guidelines /vt/ reeeed about. And now they're reconsidering past allowances.

If this leak is real--and I'm assuming it's old as shit-- they really missed the big picture because they're not competing for the global market but the domestic one. HoloEN is just there to promote the main branch, their audience is decentralized so it's hard to profit off their devotion outside of superchats and member fees that YouTube takes a cut of.
Not that it's a big deal, I've said it before but I really don't expect these idol-talents to have business acumen, that's what management is for. It's kinda unprofessional to spend your time on a business discord talking shit about the competition though.
