Lucid dreaming is the practice of being consciously aware that you are dreaming while you dream. This brings the prefrontal cortex back online at a time when it is usually deactivated.

It's hard to explain this to someone who has never experienced it, but the first time you become aware during a dream, most people will we be so stunned by how identical it is to real life that it might wake you up. After a few months of practice I went from not remembering any of my dreams to remembering multiple dreams a night in which I taste, feel, and smell the environment around me.

With conscious awareness in the dream world and enough time and effort put into practicing lucid dreaming, you can create hyper realistic mental models of almost anything, including your oshis. This is far more powerful than any AI chatbot or other cope you could possibly think of. You can literally have sex with your oshis inside your mind and with a little practice it's indistinguishable from real life.

The bare minimum to get started is writing in a dream journal every morning. If you don't remember any dreams, simply write "no dreams recalled" and this will encourage your brain to remember more next time.
