The secret to grow as a vtuber is the same one to make friends. Intimacy. You can try to go around it all you want but for ANY relationship to grow stronger, it needs to get personal, doesn't matter what you do, as long as you don't get personal, a relationship will be superficial and therefore easy to drop. You could talk with any person about politics or the weather or wathever the fuck you want and you won't care even a little. However if you want to be closer to a person you need to know how it thinks what makes it tick and what it dreams. This is why it needs to be personal.
You have seen a lot of youtubers realizing this sooner or later, they pretty much start oversharing, and they also always regret it. Because people are not designed to have strong bonds in one direction. However this is what creates a parasocial relationship and this is why it exploits lonely people. You could have just seen it with Hexa, she completily become vulnerable and opened her emotions here, and as humans is our literal insctict to get closer because it creates an emotional bond, specially between men and women. And there you go, hope it doesn't fuck up with your brain because this is the meassure of any relationship.
