i hadn't heard of that either but for me its more often the cheek gland rather than the one under tongue

one time i accidentally bit into my cheek and it scarred over the gland opening and it got swollen and painful as it couldnt discharge. after some weeks to months it fortunately healed and opened up again before getting an infection or inflammation or something
