Mages, witches, and Warlocks
For the most part Mages are regular humans with one glaring exception. You know the expression "Life is what you make it?" It turns out that Mages have figured out that quite literally applies to reality. They are humans who have awakened to the True Nature of Reality or Enlightened Science as they sometimes call it. The are able to bend reality completely to their will. Not surprisingly this makes them exceptionally dangerous. There do seem to be "rules" in regards how a mage can manipulate reality. Most will opt for subtle changes to reality rather than spectacular displays of magical might unless they are absolutely pressed. Wizards are best taken out at range and preferably out of sight unless you like getting cursed for the rest of your hopefully short miserable life.
