If they have a decent enough income from those 1-2k streams, they can settle in like NijiJP did. Twitch 1k streamers earn a decent living at least.
Being part of a big group and Anycolor taking 1/2 your income without providing easy sponsorship deals like the indies can get if you're in the lower half might make it frustrating though.
