/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

The problem with male vtubers in the EN sphere right now is that they're all just fleshstreamers jumping on the bandwagon after Luxiem. They're all normies and grifters who don't even like anime or otaku culture, leaning on BFE/yaoishit because it's popular or "brotuber" style gaming because they're boring and that's all they can do.
What's needed are males who want to be vtubers solely because they love anime and want to play an anime character, are fully immersed in otaku culture and make it a large component of their content, and have the creativity to take advantage of vtubing's unique capacity for visual gags/comedy and japanese-style weirdness. JP male vtubers do just fine because they play to their niche and actually belong in it. EN males thus far do not. Seriously, why would you even watch vtubers or want to be a vtuber if not for the connection to otaku culture? Vtubing is not just let's plays/twitch style streaming with an avatar.

Normies need to get the fuck out of my hobby.
