It's a standard survival game for the most part, however the main crux of the game revolves around the Blood Moon horde night that comes around every 7 days. The game then switches to a Tower Defense type game where (You) become the tower and have to survive the night against an endless horde for about 6 hours. You can use a large variety of standard weapons to do this, but you'll also want to update your defenses and boost them with various traps such as shock wires and blade traps. Repeat as necessary until you get bored or you feel you've accomplished your goal.
