Are they really doing alright? They are mostly propped up by Pippa and they are already doing the put your MVs into youtube ads to boost the views on it now. If they lose Pippa, they'll collapse on themselves soon enough unless they find an immediate replacement.

There a plenty of vtubers that advertise on youtube. Though, it's usually looked down upon because the only reason you'd do it is to boost views on a video. If you aren't so famous I think you could get away with it as actually spreading visiblity for your channel but if you are mid or corpo vtuber, then it's a shameful look. Nijisanji has been doing it a while for MVs. Makes it hard to trust if they got actual views for the song or that it was circulating in youtube ads for a while.
