Even when I was in Japan I found it hard to fully live in the moment and fully appreciate it, it kind of felt like a dream, like I was experiencing it in the 3rd person almost, does that make sense, yeah like a bit detached
But its hard to live in the moment, I don't even know how to do that, fully, y'know.
like I was looking around, at like y'know the beautiful scenery and I was like "I need to be taking this in more" but how do you take it in more
It's like I need to be appreciating this beautiful view MORE
Yeah I did take lots of pictures, Ive been looking at them, it does feed the nostalgia, oooh it was so much fun.
Not to say I wasn't living in the moment at all, but its just like one of of those things, I had a lot of the really fun- the fun of it all was being with my friends and spending time with them, that felt really grounded. but its more like the touristy stuff is hard to fully enjoy and be in the moment, because I would be like "woah I'm in Tokyo" "I can see Tokyo tower" that's amazing, but how am I supposed to feel about this"
Do you guys know what how- I mean, yeah it feels like surreal, I'm just looking at it and I see it, but I don't feel much more than "wow that's beautiful" maybe my expectations are too high, like I'm going to be moved to tears by Tokyo tower, that's probably not gonna happen
[I must vibe harder] yeah exactly- I don't know how I'm supposed to feel, maybe it is that I'm old. Because i do remember when I was in Paris seeing the Eiffel tower and I was like oooooh (hyper ventilating)
